Fall Striper Run in DC area?

I'm trying to figure out if stripers go up the potomac to DC during the fall. I have been out a half dozen times and have seen no stripers yet.

I'm thinking about the area up by Fletcher's Boat House.

Any thoughts on the fall run on the potomac from DC up?

THanks

I recall a while back that there were some knowledgable posts on this area... I've read about a winter population but not sure if the bulk of the population is that far south in fall.

Hopefully someone will chime in...

Thanks Juro. I have heard about holdover of some sort, but do not understand why there wouldn't be some migration in the fall.

By the way--- it's really hard to search for anything about DC, because the search term "DC" is too short for the search engine. Any ideas?

I just did a google search for "Potomac striped bass" and it came back with a bunch of good stuff and yes, they are there in September Looks like a mixed migrant/hybrid fishery but I didn't do too much digging.

Let us know how you get on!
