East Coast Buddies that ROCK!

Well back in Calgary and already starting to think about a returntrip next year....
Many thanks to all who helped Chris and me last week:
Capt. Ray for lots of blues and some great laughs over a few Molsons Eh You Know
Basser (AKA Silas) for keeping the family harmony intact by driving us around and allowing wifey to have the car while we are out fishing and takinG Chris out for a taste of Stage Harbor in the dark, without a proper torch (the one that the dog ran away with EH)
FredA for taking a much needed day off to join us on South Beach, just make sure we get to the Scotch next time
JimS for making me lose weight on the extended walks on the flats, I'll return the favor when you get up here for a fall cast & blast trip
John Basser for the tips on the canal even if we did not get a chance to go there (wifey prevails on travel days You Know Eh)
Mark D for untangling the lines while Albies are busting all around
Sean McDermott FOR taking us out AND for letting my FA bleed all over his beatiful new boat and then drenching the boat with a bucket of salt water
The Eternal Slinger, good buddy, for his profusive gift of "Magic Flies", again always appreciate connecting with you on these trips
Juro for his efforts at providing us with stripping baskets, this time I bought some and I'll be able to take them back with me next year. And thank's to BoneFishemon for the rescue offer.
Capt. Keith for running over to South Beach

YOU GUYS REALLY ROCK - TILL NEXT VISIT OUT HERE OR BACK THERE WHICHEVER HAPPENS!

It was great seeing you Pete and meeting Chris too. It was also great to finally get to fish with Jim S and meet Silas. Wish I had more time, maybe sit around and sip a few fingers of holy peat water. I carried the bottle of Lagvulin 16 year old around to share with you and especially Jim. Jim likes the peaty, smokey stuff and, also, I drank a good portion of his stash on Acklins last March.

Pete….

U are a great fishing ambassador and friend. You have single handedly closed the differences between Canada and the USA government. Didn’t realize it, but I read in Sunday’s paper that Canada supplies more oil to the U.S. than any other country. Hard to believe. Keep the pipeline open so all of us can still chase tuna in our boats.

I'll second that...

A big thankyou to JimS, Juro, Adrian, Tom Dunlap, Capt Keith (Rip Ryder) Sean and everybody else we bumped into during our 'all too short' week at the Cape.

Just a few photo's from our trip...

Great photos...

Stevo, I enjoyed fishing with three tireless and dedicated Brits. All three of you, yourself, Silas and Mattt are not only enthusiastic and passionate about the fishery, but damn good fishermen.

I think, if I get a permission slip, I'll see Silas and Matt iin Australia next April. No, make that a definite, if the invitation still holds.

Stevo, get your tail back here in June.

Yeah, what stevo said plus a big thanks to Ken, half man half osprey, who took time out of his fishing to show me how to spot bass on the flats and pete and chris for the good company and bottle of pogie oil. Jim, we'll see you in Aus, you're booked.

I just want to echo Stevo and basses comments - great trip, great to meet so many members of this forum - special shout to JimS (get ready to be blown away in April), Juro, TomD for taking us out at the boneclave (pics on the way) and Ken for showing us the way on the flats, and Keith for getting us there. It might be difficult for me to get out next year, but if I can do it I'll be there.
