Thumbs up LAC TERNAY

I'VE CAUGHT SOME DECENT BROOK TROUT FLYFISHING ON THE CONNETICUT RIVER WAY UP HERE IN PITTSBURGE NH, BUT I HAD NEVER HAD A LIVE 5 1/2 POUND BROOK TROUT WITH COLOR THAT WOULD HAVE HAD MR. AUDABON SCRAMBLING FOR HIS PAINT SET AT THE END OF MY 6 WEIGHT ORVIS ROD (COULD EASILY HAVE USED A 9 WEIGHT IF I HAD BROUGHT ONE. WE HAD A GROUP GUIDE THAT HAD TO ASK ME FIVE TIMES " WALL HANGER OR LET IT GO" BEFORE IT REGISTERED AND I LET THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FISH IN THE WORLD SLIP BACK INTO HIS ELEMENT. I CAUGHT MORE BIG FISH 12" TO 18" IN A DAY THAN I USUALLY CATCH IN, AAAA WELL IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I ALSO LANDED A 38" 12# PIKE ON A FLY ROD WHAT A RUSH.
I WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK AFTER I RECOVER FROM THE 19 HOUR DRIVE (6 HOUR ON DIRT ROAD) AND THE ONE HOUR PLANE FLIGHT. I HAVE TO KEEP LOOKING AT THE PICTURES TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T A DREAM.

I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT FISHING FOR BIG FISH IT WAS A HUMBLING EXPERIENCE.

Bob,

What a great trip you had. The 19 hour drive couldn't have been that bad after your fishing experience. Hell, I got a friend out here in the NW who will drive 19 hours to Steelhead fish only to get rained out on the northern Brithish Columbia Skeena system.

That Brookie must have had the most beautiful colors that one can imagine. I've caught them that big 25 years ago up in northern Canada but the fall colors are what truely make brookies so grand. Can you send a picture of your fish for all of us to see?
