A quick google search says no...

The Indian name of the place was Sawkattuckett. It was set off from Harwich and incorporated in 1803, being named for the famous Elder William Brewster, of the Pilgrim Colony. Another portion of Harwich was annexed in 1811; but in 1848 a portion of Brewster was annexed to Harwich.

But there are plenty of flies and stories to honor his contributions.

Sean

I have worked with direct descendants of bayside pioneers - Tom Sears (Sears Pt) and Jack Saint (Saints Landing).

Boy Mr. Brewster's tying area puts mine to shame (not to mention his tying)

my great friend

I haven't posted much lately, but that is my real friend Al Brewster who lives in Centerville on Cape Cod, seating at his workshop desk in his basement. One of the first saltwater flytyers as we know them. Before he moved to the Cape eons ago we use to fish together, which reminds me got to call him on the phone. When it comes to flytying and fly fishing their ain't no better.
If you see him tell him Art Burton "says hi you old goat."Also say hello to Ma' or Della Brewster. my extended family, put the coffe on I'll be there.
