Area 43 Essex

The essex river had quite few surface feeding fish on Friday.
mainly schoolies but a few larger fish mixed in. could see the fish crossing the flats so the sight fishing was good too. Main channel held some smaller bluefish.

Paddled most of the essex today (from conomo, accross to inside of cranes, front of cranes, back inside around island and back to conomo). Picked up some very blonde schoolies, but nothing to write home about. I wish we saw some fish on top!

Tons of bait around though, i have a feeling from right about now to sunset will be good. Tides get better for the evening as the week progresses...

Time of day

Mass I was fishing in the morning while the tide was dropping. There was even more activity as th tide starte rising around 8-9:30. I am sure it was better later in the tide. High was around noon on Friday.
