MY TURN RAPUMBA

[recite in classic J. Geils estranged tone...]

Got my ninja shoes on, to hit the flats like a sailor in a storm, ain't gonna leave no cows alone, ain't gonna answer the phone, and even though I know you ain't gonna belly and jump the eel you know I gotz the feel and I'm gonna getcha to do the boogie, run split and bail, the drag is gonna wail, the birds are gonna blitz and the seals are gonna do flipz and the flats on fire, youll havta dial 9-1-1, but I'm gonna be having too much fun, and when I spot the shadows on the sand, you know I'll play my hand, and make that line sing, and do that itchy twitchy thing, and it'll be a bed of clover, but for that fish it'll be all over, though she'll get another chance and swim free to dance another dance and I will advance, to the next shoal flat or chance, and come to the tower and look up at... what's the name of the girl with the long hair? RAPUMBA!!! Rip RYdah... open up your throttle and let down the ladder to the refuge of my love.

Cause the day tide comes only once and when it comes you can't be a dunce, you gotta stop casting blind, on a flat that's got no mind, and fish aren't playing dumb, on their nose they'll put their thumb, and you'll see a lot of tail, but then your play has failed, so you gotta play the game, and there ain't no shame, so open up your arms wide and say BABY.... I got something on my MIND... said I got something on my MIND...

Apologies to those who have never heard this intro to the 70's hit "Musta got lost" - I am not seeking psychiatric help but this weekend should really help

The impetus for the above satire for sure. With this season being a good 3 weeks behind most early July is still prime time so I guess I picked a good year for time deprivation.

I think I've been to the cottage exactly once in May, and once in June. In lieu of four months rent I plan on making up for lost time!

Juro...it sounds like you are in a very bad state
Although I'm retired, I just have to take my 2 degrees in psychology out of mothballs and "go to work"
My best guess is that you are suffering from significant FDD (Fish Deprivation Disorder)....this disorder typically has the following symptomology:
- craved ramblings;
- twitchy striping hand;
- urge to get slimy;
- inability to fall asleep due to intense visualizing of various SB locations;
- obsessive fly tying (OFTD);
- inadvertantly calling your wife "Rip";
- nightmares of 1,000 lb. seals chasing you.
There are only 2 known treatments for this disorder:
1. Paying me big $ for therapy, or
2. Getting the heck out of the workplace and FISHING.
I recommend #2 as a start...whatever you do..don't rip the lips off the first fish fish you catch
Ron

You're getting scarey

If you go on Saturday PLEASE wear a red hat so I can give you a lot of room. You sound about one overcast day from going postal.....

That's right...

If you see me on the flats this weekend... STAY AT LEAST 300 YARDS AWAY

And on the opposite side from where I am looking. If I see you, I'm that much more likely to snap

And everyone 'normal' wear a red hat. I only have a neutral color so unless you wear a bright red hat you won't be able to tell who I am. For that matter wear a bright red shirt as well.

Boy I was way off...

A feeble attempt indeed... I found the actual lyrics and if you thought I was "out there"...

MUSTA GOT LOST, WITH INTRO
J. Geils Band

(Spoken)
Hold on this song has a little introduction to it
It's ainít supposed to be sad though you might feel it that way
It's a song about desperation,
Every now and then we do get desperate

This is a song about L-O-V-E,
and if you abuse it yer goin to lose it
and if you lose it yer goin to abuse and
if you abuse it you aint going to be able to choose it
cuz you aint going to have it further on down the line
and things aint going to be so fine
and yer going to be sitting there on your little machine
tryin to look and keep it clean and
Youíre going to be home playing bingo all night all alone
and that's why your sittin there by the telephone
and you know that she aint goin to call you!

So you put on the TV and you're watchin Johnny Carson
segueing right into the Tomorrow show
but that don't got the go so you turn it off ya turn on the radio,
the radio donít' seem to get the click so you say
"Hey Man, I can't lickety split"
You start to open up a little book
and there's somethin there you got to overlook
and you say "BABY, you know there's somethin on my mind!
"You say "Baby there's somethin on my mind -
I know that you're home and I know you aint all alone! "

So you start walking over to her house
and you get over to her house
and you walk over to her door and
you start poundin on her door and you say
"Open up the door bitch!Ē
This is the wooba gooba with the green teeth, let me in!!"

Well, she opens up the door
and then you just kinda walk up to her and say
"Baby", (say Baby!) you look up way up at her green mascara
and you say "Oh my darling,
you know her and me was at the party as friends -
do not believe what they say
that's only gossip that they tellin ya -
a wise crack of lies!"
You say Darling!!!

Take your big curls and squeeze them down Rotumba -
What's the name of the chick with the long hair?
(Rapunzle!) Hey Rapunzle!
Hey Raputa! Raputa the Buta!
Hey Raputa the Buta flip me down your hair let me climb
up to the ladder of your love!!
Because this is the wooba gooba sayin to ya
"Love comes once and when it comes
you better grab it fast cuz sometimes the love
you grab aint going to last and
I believe I musta,
You know I think I musta,
You know baby I think I musta,
You know I think I musta,
I musta got lost!!!!!!!

And on that note... time to fish.
