Bass River report

Fished the Bass River area on Sunday from about 8-2. There were some fish around biting on the tail end of the incoming tide, then nothing. My father in law landed one 18-20" fish and hooked a couple more, but that was it. I got nothing but a scolding from the harbor patrol for wading in the river in the "dangerous current".

I fished the top of the river Sunday from about 6 to 8am. Got some schoolies in the 16 to 20" range on the incoming tide.

Teflon, whereabouts were you?

I was on the west side of the river channel, right at the mouth. I was wading in the river channel itself as well as on the beach to the outside of the jetty.

What were you fishing with?

Rusty old clousers and Ray's flys. Guess it's time to tie up a few new ones.
