Squid Patterns?

Hi Everyone
In preparation for my forthcoming Cape Cod trip (I am part of the British invasion) I have been trying to gather info on what I need to brig.
I now find out that Squid patterns are good to catch larger stripers.
Is this true and if so are there any patterns you recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Pete

ask any author for the recipe if not provided (recipes are supposed to accompany posts in the recipe archive anyway).

If you have trouble with the link...simply search "squid" in the tying forum and you will come up with many patterns that are used by the guys on the forum.

Some great patterns in there for squid. Are these usually for deeper channels rather than shallow water? Perhaps on a sinker?

They do not really feature inshore here in the UK, they spawn off shore when the water reaches the right temperature sometime in May. I do not know anyone currently fishing these types of patterns over here.
