Where to go

hey,
i am new to the area, and i came from wyoming. i used to fish small creeks and streams.

i have heard the north fork of the stilly is a good place. i really dont know if now is a good time. or what it is like around here. i am looking for trout streams or creeks in the area, not too far from Camano Island.

i want to take my son, who has not been fishing before.

any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

There are not a lot of trout streams in the region. You should be walking the beach near your home at this time of year with your 6 wt. Plenty of sea run cutts to catch on flies. It is fun fishing plus you will get lots of exercise.
Good luck and have fun.

Just a little hint on the area that you are looking in to fish. The streams or skinny water as they are sometimes called don't open up till June first. And yes if one wants to do a little exploring one can find lots of trout water.
