Thanks Ann,

And I finally met Leo! He helped me land a fish on 6 that Tony was afraid of. He seems to be a good guide and his clients like him. Tell him I said hi.

Charlie.

P.S. some fish in the tail of Murdock.

Hi Charlie,

I am bummed that I didn't get to chat with you more. I thought for sure we would run into you guys again. Ann was kind enough to invite us out to meet up with you guys but we fished hard that day and were wiped out. We had great fishing, my best trip to the Gaspe' for sure. I can't wait for next year. I hope you guys had a great trip as well.

Hi Ramsey, great to see you.

Cheers,

Greg

Greg,

Glad you did well. We got some nice fish also, but I have had better years. I did get my first Bonaventure fish this year. Never fished the Bonaventure before so that was a bonus! Did you get any good pictures? Would love to see them.

Charlie.

Good year

Hi guys, just got back in at 4:30 this morning. Got to go with Greg - one of my best years on the Gaspe'. Looks like no kill is finally starting to pay off on the St. Jean.
Greg, Sorry we didn't get a chance to hook up later in the week I would have loved to sit down and have a chat. Fishing does get in the way sometimes.
Charlie, looks like you were right bud - you guys left just a few days too early. About time I hit it right for a change.
Ann, will give you a call this week when I get settled back in.
A great time was had by all.
Ramsay

Ramsay,

Glad you did good brother. I got a call from Ray last week when I got back. He wanted to know how everyone did. He was not happy that he could not go. He will probably be unhappier when he finds out how good you did.

Charlie.

Charlie,

The Bonaventure is still a favorite. Which zone(s) did you fish?

I will pm you a pic or two if I can figure out how to do it.

Greg

Greg,

We got the fish out of Luna pool. Baker had some fish in it also. I think it was in zone E4? Not real familiar with the Bonnie yet. It's a hell of a nice river.

Charlie,

O man. B4 is one of the best beats. Luna and Baker are amazing pools. Were you fishing from a canoe with a guide?

Gaspe

Thinking about a trip to Gaspe August or September--any recommendations as to the best time to fish -- will also have my wife there so the weather needs to be comfortable

Greg,

We did fish from a canoe with Mario Poiner. He is the head guide for Camp Boniventure and a good friend. Nobody knows the Boniventure like Mario. He is the best.

Julian,

I will have to leave this one to Ann. She fishes in August and September quit a bit. I don't.

Charlie.

Thanks, Charlie--I will book with Ann again--I enjoyed fishing with her guides last time--just trolling for opinions. Thanks for the reply.

Charlie,

Mario is the best! The Hawk can spot fish like nobody's business. Usually there is a lot of laughter coming from the boat when you are out with Mario. A lot of the laughter is from Mario cracking himself up. I have had some very fun and productive days on the water with Super Mario.

Did you get to cast Lulu or Lulu's little slutty sister?

Greg,

I got to cast both. The reel seat on Lulu started falling off while I was playing a fish so we had to use her little slutty sister. Mario wouldn't even let me put my 2 handed rod in his boat.
