New to Cali

I've just moved from Texas to San Francisco, Ca, and need to find some fishin holes! I'm looking for places within an afternoon's drive from SF where I can haul in and release some fish. Camping in the area would be great. Anyoen know of good spots in the areas (that you're willing to divulge), or web pages listing these?

Thanks

RE:New to Cali

Welcome Deaddrift!

We have a combination of CAL members and a few of us who've recently made the trek (for business or otherwise) and squeezed some time on the river.

I'm a pacific northwest transplant to new england, so if you want to talk steelhead or stripers I can definitely talk those topics up

Hang in a while and I think folks with experience in your area will chime in...

RE:New to Cali

See my post about Cali. Good fishing for trout is about 3 hours away but there is striper fishing around the bay. Check out the latest issue of Flyfishing in Saltwaters. There is an artical about SF stripers there. My posts about cali are in this section and the Open forum.
