Sage

Hello all I have a question about Sage rods.I have a Sage III rpl 9ft.9wt. lots of backbone and a joy to cast.I had an rplx 8wt which I didn't like as much so I sold it.I have been watching the classifieds and ebay for another rpl .There always seem to be some 91/2 footers but no nines are they rare or something? Thanks Rod

The 9'6" 8wt RPL is among the finest rods ever made IMHO. It could be that people want to keep their 9'fters (?)

they made alot of those rods, but it was over ten years ago. This was befor the unconditional warrenties, so I suspect that many of them are out of commision. Others are treasured, a few go on ebay and a couple have been forgotten in the garage.
I think that the VPS 809 used the same blanks (and should cast identically).
