Nice yesterday, nicer today....

It hit about 63 degrees here yesterday, and it's due to hit 70 today.

I took the boat off the blocks and put the batteries back in. After a short charge, she started on the first crank after months of winter storage. I take that as a good omen.

If the CT River ever recedes to a reasonable level, I'm gonna go give hell to a few pike.

well i was able to get out sunday and today, very very nice out but there wasn't much for sizable fish, but there was a black caddis hatch with plenty of bluegill and crappie (i can't resist practicing for the eventful day when i fish for trout during an actual hatch) so trying half a day without getting bass to hit, i lose two consecutive 15 inchers and some of my favorite caddis patterns.

I'll get those fish next time and hopefully i'll get my sedges back too

I'll be taking the boat out this weekend for sure. Probably the Housy backwaters, but maybe I'll try one of the local lakes that is partially thawed.
