Keys in May - the Final Test

Well I went and did it - booked a trip to the Keys for early May.

I was planning on a return to Christmas Island but they messed around the flight schedule (now it's Monday - Monday out of Honalulu) which makes coordinating the trip with our Kauai timeshare tricky.

We will be based in Ramrod Key - just West of Big Pine. It's a mothership/kayak operation so I'm looking forward to poking around in some of the less travelled spots.

Having had it "easy" for the past several years, I guess it's time to go and test my skills in the ultimate flats challenge

Hi Adrian

Have fun fishing from a kayak at the peak of tarpon season.
Good luck, I'm off to the Seychelles at the end of next week.

Pete

PS. I only just realised you are a Brit. There are a lot of us around.

Yes, still a Brit - been here almost 10yrs now. Still walking on the "pavement" and haven't lost my "Zeds" either

Following the 2005 Cape Trip thread over at UKSWFF it looks like the U.K. will attempt to "re-take the Colonies" this coming June.

I'm usually on the Cape around that time so I'll try to make sure we can hook up and compare notes.

Adrian looks like a great yak trip. Tight lines. Maybe one of these years I can make that trip. FishHawk
