Nice

Henry,

You have been posting some awesome flies as of late. I like this fly - especially the color coordinating gold hook!

I have been stymied by stripers feeding on small silversides on a few occassions. Having another pattern in the box is always a good idea.

Thanks.

I think the best part about this fly, and same with your Mackerel pattern, is the head. It really has a very realistic look to it with the material you use under the epoxy (was it metallic duct tape or something like that?). Normally fly tyers ignore the head more in favor of the body/tail because it those are what really gives the fly action and appeal, but I think the attention to detail you've put into the heads of these flies will really help attract more fish that see it from the side.
