Wow if that was on a plate I might eat it! How many coats of epoxy did you use?

Can I order a half dozen ? Would you like me to "field test" it on Abaco this spring ? Great pattern...I wish I could figure out epoxy.....All I do is make a mess...
Could you talk about your materials, and technique ? pass the hot sauce...

You may be new here, but you're obviously not new to tying!

That's a great looking fly. It's got more hair coming off of it than just about any other shrimp tie I've seen.

stripers

Great looking fly, Chesapeake bay stripers would tear this fly up. Nice work.

OK, Guys, here is the recipe.

Ingredient...
Hook : ranging from size 14 to 2/0, I'm using size 4 here.
Thread : Clear mono or flat waxed white
Antennae : 2 black krystal flash
Eyes : burned 30lb mono color black
Head/Face: squirrel tail followed by pearl Angel Hair.
Belly : any dubbing will do
Body:flash n slinky tied epoxy to shape
Legs : grizzy dry fly hackle, trim the top.
Ribbing: gold wire

Tying your own...
1) add lead wire if required
2) Tie in the squirrel tail followed by the angel hair
3) Tie in the mono eyes followed by the antenna
4) Tie in the gold wire followed by the grizzy hackle
5) apply the dubbing
6) wrap the grizzy hackle around the dubbing and trim the top.
7) tie in the flash n slinky
8) apply 1st coat of epoxy to form the shape, before the first coat cure wrap the gold wire to form the ribbing. trim the head and tail.
9) apply 2nd coat of the epoxy for finishing.

Cheers
