"tis the Season

At least when (if) the water goes down - it will be time for some spring steelheading.

Here are a couple of new additions to the Intruder Fleet...

Charlie,

The wing is simply 4 white hackle feathers.

After having resisted this Intruder and Skagit business for several years, Im now intrigued, hmm.... infatuated is more accurate. I have now begun eyeing pheasant tails with a different intentions, and dreaming about the big pull while dredging deep winter holes. I lost my first intruder the other day on a stump or a rock while I was practicing my perry poke, and it was a sorrowful experience.

What hook do you use with your intruders, and what kind and how big is the tube you are tying these on.

Natrix

The tube is 1/8 inside diameter air brake tubing. I get it at an auto supply shop and it comes in 50' rolls and is cheap. It is excellent stuff.

I use the Partridge Nordic Single Spey Hook #4 (sometimes #2).
