Resent Book Aquisitions

Just added several Flyfishing books to my collection which were purchased off e-bay for , I think, good deals. The one in the Photo is a 1829 second edition of SAMONIA, by Humphrey Davy, Also Picked up a first edition of MODERN SALTWATER SPORT FISHING , 1972 By Frank Woolner : FLIES , 1950, first edition by J. Edson Leonard, and a bueatiful 1850 edition of AMERICAN ANGLERS GUIDE.

What say you about these collector reads...
I'm curious about their approach, content, and how they relate to what we enjoy today...(and I suspect that they centre around the salt free zone)...

Pete... I will call you tomorrow from Chatham... the American Anglers Handbook...has the "striped Bass". The Salmonia is interseting in that it takes on the "conversational" method that Walton used in Compleat Angler. Woolners in all salt.
