Spey Conversions

Took some inspiration from my friend Salmon Chaser the other day. He had taken a good pattern he had created (the A.P.B.) and converted it to a Spey type pattern. I did the same with the Green Highlander and the Monro Killer. Comments and criticisms welcome.

Charlie.

GORGEOUS ties!

Who said tradition can't be upheld with new ideas? They look great.

Charley,

You tie a beautiful fly!

These remind of the flies Kelson called "modern spey flies" like the Silver Ardea, Black Ardea, Wilson, Mrs. Grant, Black Dog, etc. that had married wings, G.P. tippet underwings, and the common feature of heron hackle.

Bob,

how about sharing some of your ties with the world.

Last I recall they were very very sweet.

Fantastic.

Hey Charlie.
Incredible!! I think Richard Adams hisself would approve of your twist on the Highlander. VERY nice! I'll put my order in now for inclusion in the next swap that we meet up in. As usual, your ties are sweet, and i'am happy that i inspired (you know what i mean) you to tie these flies.
Now, if i could just inpire my wife to do my laundry

Charlie,

I haven't opened the package you donated to Sean's recovery flybox (stolen with his land cruiser) but if they look like these I am tempted to have a peek before putting them into the box for Sean!

Nice stuff.
