Keep a eye out for me

My fishing rig was stolen from in front of my house today while I was home at 2pm. I had planned to go fishing this evening and had put a few things in the car. It is a silver 85 FJ60 Toyota Landcruiser with 113000 original miles.

I guess it was good I had not brought out the waders and reels yet but still lost a ton of stuff. Hopefully they will find it with the stuff still in it..yeah right.

So if any of you see any of this stuff on the market let me know:

CND Custom 1307
Simms guide aquastealth studded boots in size 12
Chota felt boots in size 12
3 swing leaf wheatleys with ALL the steelhead flies I own in them.
Ross Gunnison 3 and spare spool with floating and intermediate line
Bucks bags chest pack with a flask of makers mark in the back
Patagonia deep wading jacket in XL.

F***! Now that I write the list I guess I lost more than I thought. I better start tying as I no longer own any steelhead flies and I gotta buy some boots. At least they did not get my G3 waders...

Sean, this is terrible, and I hope for a good resolution. In the meantime, I ask that you post a list of flies and sizes that you regularly fish. I'll help fill the order.

Sean,

That just sucks. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they find it quickly and those that took it have no idea of what they have.

I hope EVERYONE keeps their eye out for Sean's rig, and spreads the word far and wide. We'll find these sleazebags.

Also, Sean - get that box #!!!

Sean that really sucks. I really hate thieves. Hopefully it is someone who just
wanted to go for a joy ride and your rig will be found with everything in it.

Sean,

Sorry to hear about this BUT YOU COULD AT LEAST KEEP YOUR TANK FULL OR LEAVE YOUR WALLET ON THE FRONT SEAT! And where is the cane? I mean come on I'm not into stealing other folks vessels just wanted the rod.

Really sorry to hear this, hope they find it soon, I've only been ripped off once and I really felt violated so I know how you must feel. We will be looking in the pawn shops for your gear.

Well I sleep with my bamboo so that is why it was not in the car

It has been a surreal experience. I actually saw the person driving off in my car but since I was home with a sleeping baby there was not a whole lot I could do. It really sucks and fishing just aint going to happen for a while now that we are a one car family again. Seeing that I have a new roof and basement remodel in the works I sure hope they find that thing in one piece or I aint fishing till the spring.

Thanks for all the well wishes,

-sean

Sleeping with Bamboo, EH? Didn't the Pope once say that is an exceptable form of natural birth control?

No worries about "headache honey" there Sean.

Have the plate number written down at home as I had not memorized it yet. Will post it later.

However it should be easy to spot:

It is silver.

Has "Catch and Release Wild Trout" plate holder on the back.

CND Sticker on the center top of the back window.

A Hula Girl on the dashboard.

No dings on it. Very Good Condition...or at least it was.

Thanks for the help,

-sean

Your generalizations, not necessarily limited to this thread, are troubling.

Sean, sorry about your stuff. I hope it all works out for you in the end.
