playing with the carp

went out and played with the carp yesterday. Lots of fish, lots of fun. Here is one of them

crayfish patterns were the fly of the day. rod was a sage 890 xp, loop evotec lw reel, with a sage performance taper line, sweet setup. Water was perfect, a long flat about 300 yards long, 6-18 inches of chrystal clear water. can't beat it.

Playing with Carp

Check this out. 34 " 27 lb on a 7 wt Sage Xi2 and a 15 lb tipit. Ill post the fly later.

I dont know its been really cold here and the place where that fish was hooked in september is probably undere the Ice by now.
