Grilled Soy Bluefish
I've converted too many people from bluefish haters to bluefish lovers that I finally have to post a recipe I recently learned.
Fresh bluefish. As fresh as possible, preferably caught in the afternoon, bled, scaled, and fileted.
Marinate in about 50/50 soy sauce and olive oil for about 15 minutes. Grill flesh side down over a medium hot fire until mostly done. Flip and finish for a few minutes on the skin side till the fish is cooked through and juicy. Serve as is or with some wasabi for kick...wasabi mayo from Trader Joes is my personal favorite.
Its simple, quick and has changed my family and many friends into bluefish lovers!
Well, I'm on the Downeaster Alexa, and I'm cruisin' through Block Island Sound.
I have chartered a course for the Vineyard, but tonight I am Nantucket bound.
