reel suggestions

i need reel suggestions for a rod i plan on building in sept figured i'd start looking early so i'd have time to save up the rod i am going to build will be a 4 wt and the reel seat is a down locking sliding band reel seat with rosewood insert check my post in the rod building section for a pic

anyway my price range is 150

Agree w/the ultralight

A classic, light click and pawl would make a nice match.

I can't disagree with anyone recommending a gear-and-pawl drag hardy, but my preference would be one of the lightweight series. The Featherweight (2-7/8") is a good match for a #4 rod.

I agree with you also. I have a St. Aiden, great little reel. It's got some "attitude", so any of the lightweights would be nice too. They certainly have a timeless look, and would be a nice accent for any rod.
