In the mouth of the River in Port Dalhousie, people do get steelhead in the fall and sping, plus large lake-run browns. I don't know what the fishing would be like right now. I'm about to leave for my mother's place for a few days, otherwise, we could hit the Grand River.
You might want to consider a trip to the Whirlpool though you're best to contact a local store for conditions. The water can get grungy in there during the summer. While you won't see many migratories in there right now, there are large bass and huge muskies still available.
Couldn't find a local store. The walk in on the whirlpool is nasty and the wading a bit on the dangerous side. Port Dalhousie iscool unfortunately no fish were landed.
Talk to ya later N I
