Old Florida Reels

If you dunk an Old Florida in the salt make sure you follow the manufacturers directions that require disassembly, FW rinse, and dry.

Does that apply to the nautilus? I do not see any such directions with mine...

I have the Old Florida 77, but that did not come with directions either. After the reel seized and was sent back, the manufacturer mentioned that there was an explicit procedure to follow. The directions were on the web. They will be placing copies in the boxes from now on. You may want to check on the Nautilis procedure. I treated the 77 like all my other reels. Rinse both sides with fresh water immediately after use (I carry fresh water in the truck). That is not good enough for the 77 because of the aluminum draw bar and it's concentric housing. Good luck.
