We hit the Green for three days for our annual Beatis trip. The weather was clear and warm which is not the best for BWOs but the hatch did come off each day for 3 hours starting around 12:30. The fish were taking a size 20 RS-2 with a dark wing pad with gusto. I fished it without an indicator setting on any pause in the line or movement by the fish. Later in the hatch fish were taking a small parachute BWO but were much more selective. Nymphing was also good on a variety of midges and micro scuds. We walked about 2-3 miles each day before we started fishing and it really paid off. The crowds were thinner and the fish more eager.
