Passion Fly

Originally tied this fly for SRC's. Found out is was very
effective on Steelhead and Salmon.

Hook: TMC/Targus 2457 size 6 or 8
Tail: Dyed Red or Dark Pink Saddle Hackle
Body: Salmon Pink Wool Yarn
Collar: Natural Grizzly Saddle Hackle
Thread: Orange Nylon

Nice and simple works, I wonder why I even waste my time on anything over a 4-5 parter steelhead fly any more. Throw some marabou on a hook (4 parter) with some tinsel in different colors and go at it I think is all thats needed.

Thanks for posting a fly pattern when I get my digital figured out to take clearer photos I will post some of mine. Otherwise I will hear the critics on the picture's quality.

Hal, I can relate.

Joan's on her 4th digital camera ... and I have my first coming to me now. I've gotten to the point where I know how to turn her's on/off and work the zoom lens ... and that's about it.

Suspect the 'learning curve' is going to be 'straight up.'

this fly is similar to the ss fly except for the body and thread. it might be the one that makes my day. we will find out and keep you posted come next sept.
