12 fish!

Just come back from ana fternoons fishing and caught 12 fish on buzzers. The killing patetrns were Ice Buzzers and Skeleton Buzzers. I have had loads of success recently with these flies here in England but this has been my best trip so far.

Do any of you use buzzers?

Regards

Can you describe them? Boobies were easy to visualize but buzzers?

Ice Buzzer-
tied on a smallish hook (14s, 16s and 18s). Silk can be various colours (rainbow claret, bronze etc), hotspot of rod or orange and black bead at head. Three coats of varnish.

Skeleton Buzzer-
tied on size 12 gold hook. Black thread and gold rib. Coloured bead (any colour) and two coats of varnish.

Let me know if you are in need of any and I can sort you out a selection pack for a decent price.

Regards

I have had some people e-mail me from the site asking for details and I ahve told them that I would put a message up on the site. If you want more details on the buzzers please look in the For Sale section on the site.

Buzzer is the English term for what we call chironomids (midge). They are very similar in apperance and are fished in a similar manner.

Yes they are,
they are called different things all over the world but are fished in a very similar way.
