With consideration for Kerry's post, I am starting this thread with hopes of lightening up a dire situation here in the east...

I'll go first:

It's so cold that I allow the dog to crap in the basement if he wants to. :hehe:

I would imagine it is difficult to even cast the long bellied lines in -40 weather.

Its so cold that the 6 wt line in the trunk of my car bends like copper wire.

Its so cold that the clutch on my car won't fully disengage until it warms up. (yes I need a new clutch)

If the temp drops another 35 degrees, it still won't be as cold as it was when my plane caught a case of burning parts in Fairbanks AK...

I grew up in Fairbanks and as I am sure Penguin can attest to you guys have not seen cold!! Count your blessings it is only 40 below in the wind.
