Predictions of down to -40 degrees tonight with the wind chill factor. It's enough to make me daydream about chasing fish in warmer times!

Say what?
We are enjoying the Pineapple Clipper around here while the East is caught in the wake of the infamous Alberta Clipper. I can assure you that as much as we are enjoying our fine above freezing weather, we are also exporting much of the not needed cold. It's all part of a massive political and socio-economic, rhetorical at that, conspiracy to get the price of Natural gas and Oil to go up so that the big energy companies make more money such that their employees can afford to go fishing in the East!

Jeez Mark, what are you complaining about. I talked to my parents who live accross the river from you and they said it got to a balmy 17 degrees F yesterday. We hit 2 degrees F for a high.

I'm not complaining about yesterday....I'm complaining about what's coming tonight! Compared to tonight, yesterday was beach weather.

And remember, I'm delicate....

And to think I thought you were a Maineiac. You know 11 months of winter and 1 month of poor sledding.

This will probably get me 'beat up on the Board...'

In Ashland, Oregon ... bit cool in the bedroom this morning when I went to take a shower. Remembered I'd turned off the upstairs gas furnace (2-story/2 unit home) several days ago. No need for it ....

I wouldn't have even fired mine up yet at those temps. Thems t-shirt days.

-12 as I type this with 30 mph wind gusts. And what really bothers me... I just cut up a dozen flys that didn't come out right.

Denise and I are in Freeport; high today was around -4, expected to drop to -50 wind chill tonight. I don't think I can tell any difference between -10 and anything colder; only difference I can tell is the rate at which frost bite sets in.
