Sean,

I've never heard of the stuff, what is it? What does it look like? Might it be Yak hair?

Some kind of icelandic horse hair...sounds like a pretty new material.

Been seeing it in some hair wing tube flies and it looks to be a little longer than arctic fox. Want to buy a little just to check it out.

Sean,

Arctic Runner, sold by The Last Great Hope, can be bought at Dave's place, Waters West. I use it for my poppers.

Leland.

you might try...

I believe Arctic Runner is an oft-used material among some of our Scandinavian angling and tying brethren.

You might try contacting Lars Terkildsen via 'FiskeShopen Morrum'. The site's address is www.fiskeshopen.com - and I believe you can reach Lars at fiskeshopen@telia.com.

Another source is 'The Angling Club Lax-A' in Iceland. The club's Camp Manager is Skuli Kristinsson, who dresses some of the most exqusite hair-wing and tube flies you'd ever want to see. Their website is at; www.lax-a.is

Hope the info helps.

Igor
