More Foot and Mouth News

Just days after the announced lifting of Ireland's angling ban two confirmed cases of FMD have been reported in Co. Louth just south of the cases in N. Ireland. In light of this it is unlikely that angling will resume as planned.

Mylo -

On a related note, I just heard that the two herds of sheep imported from Europe to the US are being seized by the federal gov. due to a positive mad cow test in one of the flocks. One herd owner claims paranoia as the tests were of an inconclusive nature. The gov opts to err on the side of safety and seize both flocks.

Serious stuff!

RE:More Foot and Mouth News

Sorry to hear that. I read a news publication I pick up in the Boston Pubs called the "Irish Emmigrant". Mondays issue had a lead story headline of "Foot and Mouth Restrictions Eased". I was hopeful for a bit there. The article said that while it was still a very high national priority you had passed the incubation period for the other case in Armagh. Oh well, tough one to get rid of.
Keep up the good fight. The Irish have done well so far it seems. Our thoughts are with you.
