Too good not to share (from Bob P)

HOW TO STAY AWAKE IN MEETINGS: OFFERED AS A SERVICE TO YOUNG EXECS and OTHERS who may find this technique useful....

Do you keep falling asleep in meetings and seminars? What about those long and boring conference calls? Here's a way to change all of that.

1. Before (or during) your next meeting, seminar, or conference call, prepare yourself by drawing a square. I find that 5" x 5" is a good size.

Thumbs up Bull S,,,t

Too bad this never came along when I was still working. If there was any part of my work I hated, it was meetings! Oh well,,,, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Yeah - that's good.

I hated meetings with a passion.

My old method for keeping meetings short was to have all of the chairs removed from the meeting room before starting the meeting. Funny how everyone stays "on point" when they have to stand up. Keeps all meetings down to an hour, tops.

And, I always had an agenda prepared, with a time limit for each item, and had it posted so everyone knew what to expect, and stuck to it.

(Hmmm - it's no wonder that they were so happy when I retired!)

Seriously, everyone loved the meetings then, except the ones who like to talk a lot and who dredge up irrelevant junk. You all know the types....
