South Beach 8/22

First fish of the day... landed a 31" striper than moments later a 32" striper. Lost a very nice fish, then it was mung and seals.

Craig,
Great photos and the seals are cooool! Just not the best thing to have when fishing. Have had them ruin more than a couple of trips up there in the past. Congrats on a good day of catching.

Tightlines,
Mike Mayo

This one was from a rip trip that got cancelled. Striped bass meets a very large Bluefish.

Thanks Mike! I still enjoy seeing the seals not more than 50' from the beach. You know its time to move but still a great sight.

What is it with you and bluefish eating bass:hehe:
Craig they don't need you help buddy, that's why they have enormous teeth . Unfortunate for that little bass but there is a very full bluefish out there somewhere. Another cool bunch of pics.

Great report. I got one small fish and my friend Dick got two on the Ocean side. Great to see you again. Wish you had been on the inside to see
Domenic catch his 30" plus cow. Watched him sight cast to the fish and land the fish . We could have used your camera!! He got the fish on_one of John Morin's flies. To quote Domenic"Schoolies are for kids". He sure got the big fish that he was after.

I'm under the impression these fish are hard to catch in August. Care to give us the ingredients? I'll be back in September for another try.
