Nauset/South Beach--Aug 3

Chickened out for the niight fishing because of weather..but did get to Nauset about 5:30 AM... Water conditions perfect...fog, light SW wind, light surf... no birds and no fish... left and scoped out the area at low tide... then to the 9 am Rip Ryder to South beach... perfect late outgoing on Ocean side.. landed 6 lost 2, one from a frayed leader probably from the bottom stones at Nauset... largest about 25 inches... there will be big ones I hope... Fished just 1 1/2 hour and left on the 10:45 as It died just as the tide was changing... Will have an extra two hours tomorrow if I take the 8 am shuttle which is my plan... will quite at the same time..maybe.

Knew I should have come down this weekend!

6 fish in an hour and half - sounds like you have some fast fishing John. Were you surfside or was there enough light to spot them on the flatz?
