32" Of Tippet

I just hung up the waders in the early eve sun, but my pants are still a little damp. The guy I work with didn't bring the right tool's today, so at around 11:30, we packed it for the day. I sat in my truck, eating my lunch and lookin at my Benchmark for "easy pickins". You know, those spots on a weekday, when everyone else toil's, you watch the boil's, by yourself!
I picked one we will call...ah...Cosmic Pools...yea. About a 45 min. drive. I poped in Pat Methany, We Live Here, and turned east. It was hot, around 80, no wind. I climb down the hill at the Steel bridge, Fully intending to defy the Copporate structure, and go past the red sign. I travel as the fish do, upstream, under the watchfull eye of a mating pair of Osprey. I fish in there kitchen, pulling hard fighters with puzzeled looks, from depths of many colors. A game of "Crazy 8s" ensues. Cast the fly, catch the 8" Trout. Over and over. The strikes now are to numerous to count. The hours pass by like those on a cartoon clock. Then all at once, I slip and fall in. I was up to my neck, cold water flowed into my waders. I am sure the fish were clapping, holding there little score cards, 9.5, 10, 9.5. My composure was regained with an emptying and the sight of a Redtail circling in the canyon above me. I worked my way back downstream. Pool after boulder after riffle after pool. It's 5pm, time flys when you are having fun.
So Im sittin here, and I have 32" of tippet left. Screw it, I can change it out next time. Besides the truth reveals it self continually, all you have to do.... is look!
Deerhawk

p.s. If anyone hooks a size 11 reef walker, just put it up on I84, I will grab it on my next trip thru....thanks in advance

DH - Exactly - I spent yesterday casting a line in the pouring rain. I think I gained something form being wet, cold, wrinkly, and one of a very few out there. Keep on keepin on.
