any news from the Mary Mack?

Not that I have time to go up there with my impending road trip, but just like to keep in touch.
In most past years schoolies were being taken from the bars by Mother's Day. Has high water affected the fishing this season?

BTW Juro, I loved your reference to the cherry blossums in the post below. I have long since adopted the forgotten technique used by our pre-internet ancestors of judging the seasons by various external clues from nature. It makes perfect sense that if one organism is affected by photoperiod, temps etc, others would be equally affected.
The sign I'm waiting for right now is the Baby Bird Time. When the little starlings are chirping under the eaves of my roof, there will be big stripers busting herring at night in my favorite river hot spot.
