Hull Report

Some bass have made the jump north. Yesterday around 2 pm a guy fly fishing at the Gut landed a striper. Anyone know why some fish move so fast north? Do these fish move around the Cape, go through the canal or take I-95 in the north bound lane and fight bumpa ta bumpa early morning rush hour traffic?
Hope I don't get in any trouble letting this info out.

Juro,

Wish I was in town. I get so darn excited this time of year reading the migration reports. The reports are about the only thing that can get me home sick, well maybe the Beanpot, cherrystones and good fried clams.

My folks drive over to the Gut almost every day and have lunch. They called me yesterday to let me know the stripers were in. It's their way of making me feel guilty for not coming home for a visit. Maybe soon if I can get my sloop in the water out here in the NW without going broke first.

The folks said they were also down in Wareham or that area somewhere and said it was a zoo with bait chuckers. Some catching on a regular basis and other feeding the crabs.

Hope you all have a great weekend on the cape or where ever you go. This is such an exciting time of year to be a Cape Coda, It is religion to the locals so much so that even the old roman cathlic portagie priest will excuse bass fisherman from Sunday service as long as they bring a bass by the back door of the rectory.
Good Luck!

Saw a fly guy workin' Quincy Bay on Tuesday, and, a guy chucking a jig showed up as well.

No on caught anything while I was there but the birds were working like crazy about 150 yards out, to their right.

The game is on............
