Dark Flounder and Crab Apple

Here are two examples of darker flys... The Flounder has a dark brown foam with black mallard.. the crab Apple has the darker Pheasant feather carapace. Also the crab is weighted... if you want it to float or swim...just tie it without the dumbell.

I'm going to tie a few of the flounder up to imitate the blackcheek tonguefish prevelant throughout the carolinas for an upcoming trip. Should be quite productive...

Chris..tye them small and also try covering the fly with soft body to make the fly softer than epoxy... I will be doing that as well.

As I recall from our Marine Bio lab, these fish are typically in the 1-3" range. Need to reference my Peterson's field guide...
