South Shore bait

Yesterday evening I witnessed a VERY large school of bait just feet off the wall of third cliff. It had some swimming birds on it but otherwise it went unmolested. My guess is herring but I am far from certain.

The school was large - I did not get close enough to see the size of the bait. The swirls and small splashes were not big enough for schoolies.

The boat is, of course, behind schedule. The frames are up - for the second time , the stem and breasthook were up but are now down for some fine tuning , if all goes well this week and weekend (I'm sure it wont) the stem, breasthook, 7th frame, chine log, and sheer clamp will be attached.
