Thumbs down Giant Red Drum

Still plenty of albacore and bonita in the area. The bonita are on a few reefs, 8wts and a 350 grain line/ short 3' 15 pound andy leaders are producing fish 3 to 6 pounds. Half/halves in chart/white are taking most of the fish. We atarted w/ albacore in the morning most of the fish were 8 to 10 pounds, crease flies seemed to get the most looks.

The big red drum are showing themselves. Most of the fish are in the 30 to 50 pounds 12wts and sinking lines are working the best at the moment. I tie a crazy fly that sinks extremely fast/clouser hybred. Of course the 12wt broke as I was setting up for a cast, oh well, switch reels and used the 10 wt. Some crazy fishing at best.

If your bored drop me a line 252-240-2850

It almost May the water temp in the ocean is 69 and in the creeks 75 degrees.

Have a good one,

Dave
