Probably the only pink shrimps in the swap. John, I gave you 14 so you could include one of the old style and one of the new, these flies work best as a cast of two, deep in the night up in the estuaries.
Everythings pink!
Hook - size 6
Eyes - burnt mono
Body - old style - chenille with palmered body braid
new style-diamond braid
Legs - palmered hackle
Carapice, feelers and tail - bucktail
Coat carapice with Hard as Nails.
Real simple tie, tie in bucktail at bend, leave excess sticking up. Tie in burnt 30lb. mono eyes. Attach hackle, then body. Wrap body forward, tie off. Palmer hackel forward, tie off. Pull hackel barbs down and hold, now pull remaining bucktail over body, tie off. Jam a couple of half hitches behind eye of hook to make flippers angle up. Trim hackle from sides and coat top with Hard As Nails.
This fly isn`t for the daytime flats, but I can`t count the number of bass and weaks that have sucked this up in the dark!
Slinger
Steve, yes I know you gave me more..but I was just going to post pictures of 6 flies for everyone... Your 14 will be great as all the participants will get one of yours...
