I received this from Jim Walker CCA NE.

Phil McMann, head of Marine Enforcement, has agreed to distribute our "Be a Sportsman--Set an Example" 81/2" by 11" poster to launch sites, tackle shops etc. This poster was put together by CCA-MA in conjunction with flyfishsaltwaters.com. It pictures a striped bass of 28" and sets some basic rules to protect our marine resources. Here are some of the bullets:
Don't drag your fish up over sand or rocks.
Don't throw it or kick it back into the water - slide it back gently.
Handle the fish by the lower lip - it won't hurt you. Never grab it from the middle.
If the hook is swallowed, cut the line. The fish will survive.
Don't leave trash behind.
Many sportsmen mash down the barb of the hook to release the fish more easily.
Don't let others ruin our good fishing - spread the word!
The Massachusetts 2001 Regulations allow for one fish of no less than 28". Many conservation-minded sportsmen would like to see the size limit back up to 36", If you choose to keep a striper, please make sure it's at least 28", and educate others who pretend not to know better!

If you would like some of these posters (they are laminated for outside use) to post let me know while supplies last. J.

Applause due to Terry W. (originator) Jim and all others involved.
