Craig, You could give Follins Pond a try......upper reaches of Bass River.....ride the tide in and out. Nice put in area on Follins Pond Rd. off I believe, "Old Bass River Rd". Was there last week for a bit, at the wrong tide of course. Supposed to be better at high.

Park on the causeway at the Outermost Harbor end. Short portage down to the narrow inlet then out past outermost harbor and you're in the tub. Probably one of the shortest and most productive paddles you could make this time of year.
If you're feeling a bit more energetic and fancy an early start, its about 40mins paddle to the Rip Ryder drop off point and you can enjoy relative solitude before the crowds arrive.
The back ponds off Bridge Street and out into Stage could be worth a look too.
How about the south tip of Monomoy?:hehe: Ahh the good old days
For those who may have missed the tounge in check quality - I do not advocate going to the south tip in a canoe though some may claim to have seen me do it.
It was STUPID with fish today. See my other report... (sandeels)
