Sitting here thinking about the snaking I have to do this weekend and realize I haven't looked at the components to see if the plugs are easily removable.

Anyone attempt this with GPS antennae wire & tranducer connections?

Roop, I have a Garmin GPS and I'm pretty sure the installation instructions said that if the antenna wire is cut, you MUST replace the end connector, the old connector should not be used again. Old age prevents me from remembering how the transducer was routed, but I'm pretty sure that I left the end intact since it was about 1/2" in dia. and I sized the hole accordingly!
That first squeeze of the cutters is alot tougher than you might think!

Most configurations I have seen snake with the connectors and coil the excess wire. Covers for the larger holes that result from running connectors through the dash are available. Anything possible though. Some GPS's have the receiver at the antenna and information fed down the antenna wire to the display is actually not radio frequency.
