Bow River Bugger Fly!

Has anyone seen or fished this fly. If so, have you had any success with it? It looks like a great fly for Bass, Trout and many others.

Bow River Bugger Fly

Arthropod Artificial fly Natural material Terrestrial plant Invertebrate


Tail: Black Marabou with blue krystal flash along the sides of the tail.
Body: Olive Chenille
Rib: Copper Wire
Palmered Hackle: Black Saddle
Head: Muddle style head of deer, elk, or bighorn sheep
Collar: Hair tips left untrimmed
Weight: 20 to 25 wraps of lead or lead substitute.

It is a proven pattern wherever trout eat minnows! All species of trout!
I posted about this fly back in 2000 (archive of trout flies) so do a search and you can see my version. I tie it with a smaller head and a wing as the original pattern calls for.
