I'm hesitating between a T&T Horizon saltwater 9' 10w 4p. and Loomis GLX CrossCurrent 9' 10w 4p (will need to pay 100$ more for GLX) as a tarpon rod. Don't have a possibility to try T&T. What is your opinion about T&T vs GLX?
Thanks
The T&T Horizon has been recently discontinued and can be found at discount. T&T is introducing the H II ( or horizon two ) this year to try to keep up with the other 2's and probably the Jones' as well in rod making...My understanding is that the H II is very similar to the Helix. I own an Horizon 10 wt and like it alot and I have used the Loomis GLX Cross Current. The Crosscurrent has survived the test of two years of availability unlike the untested H II...So, if I were to pay full price the GLX..looking for a bargain search for a Horizon "One". BTW, Loomis customer service has quicker options for rod replacement.
