Hook: 22 Dry
Thread: 6/0 Black
Body: Gadwall Flank Fibers
Wind on forward, then back over to bend; tie in several gadwall fibers, tips laying off bend one to on&one-half times hook gape; hitch and secure. Wind thread forward to thorax area; hitch.
Wind gadwall fiber flat toward front; catch at thorax; build thorax and hitch. Fold fibers back in wing configuration, lay one or two wraps over to position wings; build head and secure. Trim the wings almost any way you want, whether it's straight across, diagonally pointed toward the centerline, inverted vee toward thorax, or spent.
Again, can be tied down to 32 with decreasing thread size and fiber count.
Thanks, John, for handling this swap. I hope everyone likes their selection.
