I finally got my digital camera working! Here's a fly that I think will do wonders on BIG pike:
The Cobra Meatball
Hook: 4/0
Head: black wool spun, and clipped to shape
Collar: Blak and red marabou
Tail: Fuzzy fiber with a little red krystal flash
Eye: Large stick on eyes, or in this case reflective wrapping paper glued on.
Great looking fly!
On a 4/0 hook, it will definitely get very heavy to cast and also sink deeper for those lunkers?
Keep us posted when you get trials & results...
Well I'll let you people know later in june... big Minnesota trip. I've never caught any bigger than 7lbs up there, so I'll have to tie some in the 2/0 category, but i have caught 5lb smallmouth too. Ill have to get the ol' digital camera out again to show off some sweet looking crayfish.
