Farewell January... make way for stronger sunlight, longer days...
This shot is one of our traveling spey dudes from BC reaching a zen-like state of sight fishing acumen in the flats of the Cape. Soon enough we'll be there again Tyler!
That day was magical, it seemed I could do no wrong. I felt like I was a "walking chum line". However, there were a few days before that where I was deaf dumb and blind! You would say "there's two" and I'd look in vain and practice my American idiom -"Huh" - you'd point and I'd finally see them about 10 feet from us - duh.
Once I got the hang of it, it still took your knowledge of the fish and the flats to put me in the right places at the right times! However, it was pleasant to realize that you were no longer showing me where to go but were in fact trying to beat me to the next spot!
Thanks for a great trip and thanks for this Memory du Jour to bring it all back again. :smokin:
Wow - great pic Looks like you guys scored some ideal conditions!
Kush, reading your account of Juro's tutorial reminds me of the day he showed me the ropes at Monomoy, which I will never forget - especially the part where I finally hooked up to a 30"!
Bigdave I have a video clip of that somewhere, I swear when the server is upgraded we'll put it up for all to see. The sound effects are great
Kush - I had to do it... fishing behind you that day when you were in fish-vaccuum mode was a sure recipe for a skunking!
